Somewhere in the world at some time, people violently killed baby seals for their fur.
What I read is that in countries such as Canada and Japan people used baseball bats or stranded animals near the shore while the tide went down.
My internet has been slow today, so I didn't get a chance to look up as much information as I'd like on the subject.
But I did find one site that stated Europe placed a ban on the import of seal products.
This has been going on since at least the 1980's and still is today.
I find it very sad.
